Asher Altshul

Asher made Aliyah in 1990 at the age of 15. He is married to Anat and lives with their four children in Jerusalem. He studied in a Hesder Yeshiva, served in the Golani Brigade and received rabbinic ordination from the Israeli Rabbinate. After completing an MA in Classical Archeology from the Hebrew University, Asher worked as a licensed tour guide for twenty years and directed the English Tour Guide course for a decade. He successfully ran the tour operations at a leading tourism company and after years of experience in dealing with local governmental issues, Asher now heads Yad L’Olim’s work to make sure municipalities are providing Olim with the services to which they are entitled.
